Each week has a theme and letter which daily activities are focused on. This list may not be covered in its entirety and may be changed at any time. Enrichments

Our teachers supplement the curriculum with several enrichment programs. Monthly programs include Music and Movement, Yoga and Spanish. We make regular walking trips to West Family Library for story time and crafts. Additionally, outside specialists are invited to provide hands-on experiences related to Cape Cod and surrounding communities, diverse cultures, and personal health and safety. For example, in the fall, staff from the Wampanoag Tribe demonstrate what life was like as a Native American. We also visit Bourne Farm for a special field trip with families. During National Fire Prevention Month in October, we make a special trip to the local fire station. And in February, during National Children’s Dental Health Month, a dental hygienist visits. Each year, there may be additional special enrichments/activities such as the Mad Scientist and Barnyard Babies.

The teachers routinely incorporate music and movement exercises, story time, seasonal themes and an in-house lending library to give the program a varied range of interests for the children. A fully fenced-in playground is used daily throughout the year to further large muscle development and gross motor skills. Our playground has recently been remodeled and updated with additional playground equipment and turf.
