Sydney McCabe
Sydney began with WFPS in the fall of 2003 when her eldest daughter, Tess, entered the school, then housed in the basement of the West Falmouth Library. Sydney was a part of the fundraising committee that had a very successful event in the Spring of 2004. The proceeds from that event begin the “Raise the Roof” Campaign to build our current little red schoolhouse. With the help of a dedicated group of individuals, Sydney among them, and the WFPS community, the schoolhouse was opened for the start of the 2005 school year. Sydney was President of the preschool from Fall 2004 to Spring 2006, when her youngest daughter, Regan, was one of the first graduates of the little red schoolhouse. Since 2006, Sydney has served on the board of directors as a guide in all things financial.
Megan Stimpson
My relationship with West Falmouth Preschool goes back many years when I was a student there and my mom, “Mrs. Phillips” was the teacher. After her tenure as a teacher, she served on the board of directors for many years. When my husband Alex and I, who is also from Falmouth, decided to move back home to start our family, we hoped one day our children would be able to attend the little red schoolhouse that was so near and dear to our hearts. That dream became a reality when Katie and Jake attended WFPS from 2017-2021. I was fortunate to serve as President of the Executive Committee for three of those four years. The experiences I had with my fellow committee members created friendships that are still strong today and I have no doubt will last a lifetime.
I earned a B.S. from Bridgewater State University in Mathematics and a MBA from The University of Massachusetts Boston. I worked for 14 years at BNY Mellon in Boston before transitioning to my current role as a stay at home mom. I am heavily involved in North Falmouth Elementary’s PTO, running their social media accounts and school bank day and am a proud “VIPS” mentor. I am honored to be joining the Board of Directors at WFPS this 2023/2024 school year.
