Curriculum
We offer a flexible curriculum where “exposure” is the keyword. Our teachers focus on the whole child: communication skills and physical, social/emotional, and cognitive development, as well as the development of strong self-care skills. The daily routine at West Falmouth Preschool includes a nice balance of creative free play, teacher-guided projects, and organized group activities.
Younger kids’ group activities focus mainly on the child’s social interactions and the development of independence, as well as feeling secure in their first pre-school experience. For older kids, we continue to promote social and emotional growth while also focusing on reading and basic math skills. We continue to promote the enhancement of fine motor skills, such as writing and drawing. Our goal is to help guide each child to meet their individual developmental needs and prepare for Kindergarten.
