Program Overview
West Falmouth Preschool offers families a three, four or five-day preschool program. A child must be 3 years old by September 1 to enroll in our program.
The children attend school from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day with lunch and an option to “Stay and Play” until 3:00 PM. The school day consists of a flexible curriculum and regular enrichments which are further outlined on the website.
Our classroom is a mixture of age groups. The students’ work is determined by their capability. We strive for kindergarten readiness and the students are encouraged to achieve or surpass their individual academic goals. Children may be able to choose from many activities, including, but not limited to arts and crafts, shapes and colors, dramatic & imaginary play, outside play and reading.
Stay and Play is an extension of our Morning Program and focuses mainly on enhancing social development. When the weather is nice, much of the time is spent playing outdoors on our well-equipped, recently updated and fully-fenced playground. The children play with their peers, have a snack and take a 20/30-minute rest. It’s a wonderful opportunity for your child to form stronger bonds with his/her teachers and classmates. This program is available on your child’s enrolled school days from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
