We are a parent cooperative school which means that parents are active and essential partners with our teachers in many facets of “running the school.” Parent cooperative responsibilities include assisting in the classroom to help teachers with various projects, working on fundraising projects, and maintaining the school. Parents are also encouraged to serve as an officer on the Executive Committee.
This strong parent-teacher relationship helps make your child’s first school experience a positive one. The cooperative approach eases the transition between home and school, creates a sense of community for students and parents, fosters friendships, and helps keep tuition costs low. It also offers parents the unique opportunity to be involved in their child’s early-learning years. We have an open door policy – parents are always welcome in the classroom, and the classroom is always open for parent volunteers.
